Fitness and I have a very close relationship. I have always loved working out, challenging my will power and my strength. Some may say that I'm a bit, well... obsessed... and I what I say to that is... I just like to do what makes me feel good :)

It is proven that any type of exercising:

  • Boosts your mood
  • Increases your energy
  • Combats an wide range of health issues & disease
  • Sparks your sex life
  • Promotes better sleep
  • Reduces and manages stress
  • Improves learning
What I strongly believe about fitness and exercising is this:

Do it for you, for your long-term health, and for your own health & happiness.

It is also important to partake in activities that you enjoy. The more you enjoy the workout, the less it will feel like work and the more likely you will continue with the activity, creating a long-term habit with incredible and lifelong benefits. Playing tennis, biking around your neighborhood, yoga, running, walking, swimming, pilates classes, kickboxing, weight training... the possibilities are endless! And my personal favorite is to mix it up, sticking with the same routine gets boring not only for you but for your body as well. 

So.... why and how did I fitness become such a big part of my life? 
Despite my many and ongoing stomach problems, the changing of my diet and (what seems like) the constant adding/subtracting of pills and supplements; exercising is the one static thing that never fails to make me feel well and good. Exercising releases endorphins, the "feel-good" chemicals in your brain - it's no wonder why I'm hooked!
